I will be running the Chicago Marathon (again) on October 13, 2013. I got selected to run the race as did my dad and younger brother. They will be completing their first marathons!
I am absolutely stoked for the chance to run it again and hopefully SLAUGHTER my time from last year.
Tomorrow, I will begin training again and focusing more on running so I can DO THIS. I've got to sign up for the running group I ran with last year as well.
And, I think I'll buy a Garmin so I can keep track of my pace better than last year. It's time to bite the bullet and get a watch I think.
I'm so excited! Congrats to all who got in and to those that did not, there is always next year (hopefully).
So, what do you all think? Will they make registration a straight lottery next year?? Part of me really hopes not, but I guess I can see why they would thanks to this year's debacle!
Congrats. It will probably be a lottery, but who knows? Hopefully, they give former participants automatic entries!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pete! Sorry for the super late response! I've been slacking on the blog! I really hope they don't do a lottery, but I can it happening to. I hope they can do something to give preference to the locals and past participants. We shall see!
